Yokomo Drift Tires

Postby nocigar » 09 May 2007 11:06

So I'm trying to get some Yokomo drift tires onto a set of wheels I have but they just will NOT go on. 1 wheel I managed to get on but the others I can only get to the 1/2 way mark. With the wheel I have on the rim it's not fitted to the rim nicely, it sits in from the lip of the wheel. I've tried brute force and warm soapy water. Anyone got any other suggestions?

Dude i just put some Kawada D3's onto some speedway pal 37R's by putting the tyre into "HOT" water from a jug/kettle and letting it sit for about 30-45 sec then squeezed it on to the rim with ease . . Laughing Laughing

That for me has been the easiest way . . Laughing

What does everyone use to hold the tyre to the rim? Superglue?
Cheers

Are these the Yokie rings or HG Radials? For the rings I usually put the tyre on as the instructions say then spray them with some silicon spray (WD40) to help get the ring into place, ocassionally a bit of persuasion with a screwdriver helps as well!!
