oops, i forgot lol... i will check it out on the weekend... only problem is i might need full access to the site to do it... I just dont get how the spam bots can make an account so obviously it is an individual, but i have seen it before... Easy to do, hard to stop!

I see heaps of Bots are joining again lately. They don't seem to be able to post though.
I read on another Forum that one of the Mods? deleted this...

From the bottom of the page and alot of the Bots stopped joining?
I don't know if this is helpful or if anyone cares.

The Google bot is scanning the website for search results.

Pete, deleting that would not do anything apart from stopping the people who are creating the bots, being able to search that line and get forums to spam on.

The bots seem to be de-activating their own accounts so thats alright. I will try add more to the registration process to make it a bit more complicated for them.

They have started heavily spamming again. Please don't respond to the posts because if I delete the spam posts, the old topics get bumped up again. I will keep removing the posts until there is another forum update to stop them registering.

No, they can post in any forum. They just go where there has been the most recent post hoping more people view it there.
