Tamiya GTR

Postby PS13Boy » 05 Apr 2010 21:36

Hi guys,
I've had a good solid weekend of rc! 8)
Got 2 counter steer cars working really good.
And here's the GTR I finished off for some pics today.
I didn't think the sober standard kit really looked the part for a drifter so I added the body kit from a cheap chinese "Btitz" ER34 skyline body shell I chopped up for parts.
It was pre painted white so I re-painted the kit on the outside (It has a few scratches already, I blame Kevin for that!).
I did a v-mount intercooler/rad, with a vent in the bonnet (not sure I like the vent, might change it).
There's a 3-racing LED kit, with high beams on a separate channel/switch, rainbow brake lights and and an exhaust that kinda flames when I brake. :P
It's not my favourite shell ever, but I think it turned out not bad.
Anyway, the pics...

It's trans red, then lame flake then black. So yeah it's mainly the flake giving the colour.
On the body kit, I painted the outside, so it's same as above in reverse, then clear coat on the top.
