hey dude, welcome to the site, first up read the site and the posts about CS and all that, you will get a feel for what's what pretty fast, then you will have a better idea on what you are interested in

my personal advice is go with something belt driven, what brand is up to you

also with your 350 - 500 mark is that for everything eg, batts and charger

Yeah the HPI I am looking at online is belt driven but I heard that it's hard to find parts for and the price on line is NZ375 and it's ready to run with a 1800mah bat and a 2.4ghz radio gear I think will have a looks when I get on the laptop later . What do you think is that budget enough for every thing?

Hey Rob, welcome to RCDrift.org & RC Drifting, yeah I have a HPI sprint 2 it was my first drift chassis they look pretty cool in Anodised orange mines from back in the purple days
its a good chassis to learn with pretty much trouble free only problem I had with mine was the rear belt wearing through but you get that eventually especially if drifting outside but thats the only problem I had with it in the 5 years Ive owned it, pretty minor really.
The chassis can be set up for CS pretty easily as well.

That link you put up , thats a good deal for a Brand new RTR kit , all you'll need to do is lock the diff otherwise its got all the looks, power & handling ability to get you started in RC drifting, it comes with touring car rims and tires (the silver rims) & Drift rims & tires (3mm front & 6mm rear TE37 And replica Falken Azenis Tdrift tires sweet!!) all you will need to get you going is some Batteries & a charger. Maybe look at saving 2 to 300 dollars if you want some lipos & a charger it can be done cheaper you just have to shop around.

CD

Bit expensive but he letting me layby it . And I have to make it myself witch i will suck at .

Is that 2nd hand, what sort of BL system does it have & how old is the Lipo, does it come with a lipo charger, & 2.4ghz radio gear?????????.... Personally I reckon the sprint II is a better deal nothing beats a brand new chassis that way your the first abuser in its life, no hidden damage that might not be able to be seen to the untrained eye.

If brand new When you break it down like that it looks like a good deal the lipo and charger for 130bucks seems on the low side ?? Might pay to ask what sort of charger it is ,
dude building it is all part of the fun that way you get to know how your car works good for when you have to do repairs because it helps you familiarise yourself with the parts and inner workings of your chassis, do the TT01E come with ball bearings or plastc bushes... poo poo if plastic bushes I dont even think they have adjustable arms unless its the D version??
Definately the sprint II is a better beast than the TT01 it has more adjustability and will handle a BL system better, better steering and the potential to switch to a CS setup is there once you get a bit more experience.
The only downside to the sprint II is that hop ups near on dont exist ( dont quote me on that I havent looked in a while but you can use parts from other chassis) & the TT01 has all the bling available that you will ever need (but you wouldnt want to spend to much money on a TT coz at the end of the day it will reach its full potential pretty quickly).

Just my opinions dude sorry if im confusing ya.
