You should try get a price for the Futaba 3pm 2.4gh Fasst controller it maybe a bit cheaper Than the DX3.0 but definately better than Accoms.

Prob out of your price range but theres also the spektrum DX3R which is what the stig uses and the Spektrum DX3S which I use which has allsorts of coll stuff like temp sensor and car batt voltage.

That 2nd RX is handy if you have 2 cars.
A Spektrum reciever is around $160, so factor that in (can allways sell the 2nd RX)
